Tips for eating something delicious in cozy restaurants in Tallinn.
Tallinn different restaurants
Are you planning a trip to the fabulous Tallinn city?
Below there is a list of beautiful restaurants and cafes where you can eat or drink.
I hope this will help you in finding the best spot for you.
Olde Hansa Restaurants
This is one of the best medieval restaurants that is the home of a rich merchant.
This restaurant is located in the Old Town Square so in the very center of Tallinn.
It’s the ideal place fro enjoying delicious meals and drinks, listening to medieval music.
It’s a surprise that everything is cooked using 15th century recipes and methods.
The menu is completed with a long list of beers, wines, schnapps and aquavitaes.
The atmosphere here is very authentic and I can only recommend that for sure.
Take a look here to know more about one of the more typical restaurants in the city.

Controvento Restaurant and Pizzeria
This is a very Italian restaurant in Tallinn, and I can say it because I’m Italian too and I know the typical cuisine.
It’s located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, half way through Katariina Käik (St. Catherine’s Passage) therefore it’s a suggestive location.
In the menu you can find different appetizers, first and second dishes cooked in the authentic way.
We chose to eat pizza and it was perfectly tasty, I hope you try it!
In the link you can also find the menu posted.
It’s one of my fav restaurants in Tallinn.

Umami Restaurant
Umami means “rich savory taste” and it’s the perfect way for describing this place.
It’s located in a second street alongside Leib at the old town.
Umami is simple and unique. Why? They use local and seasonal high-quality ingredients mixed with exotic flavors.
The choice of beverages is original and various. Different freshly squeezed juices and craft beers are selected in a good way, as well as wines.
Even the interior design is very accurate in every details.

Leib Resto ja Aed
Leib means black food in Estonian therefore here you can find amazing old Estonian food.
First, the menu is seasonal and authentic.
Secondly, the staff is very friendly and the location is suggestive too.
There is a little garden outside where you can eat under the stars in summer months.
The wines list is very accurate as well as the food choices.
The bread is hand made and the same is for the desserts.
What more could I say? Try it and you won’t regret it.
In conclusione, simple but wonderful gastronomic pleasure.

Gelato ladies
Gelato ladies in the Old Town of Tallinn brings joy to all ice cream lovers with its large selection of Italian gelato, which is made in-house.
Moreover, the menu also contains waffles, pancakes and drinks suitable for an Italian-themed café, starting from quality coffee. The café welcomes children and pets.
Hence it’s the perfect spot for relaxing a little bit after a walk in the center of Tallinn.
Because of the location that is very cozy and familiar, you can fell at home!
