Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl in Morocco

    February 16, 2020 / 13 Comments

Chefchaouen is one of the prettiest city in Morocco. Located nestled in the Rif mountains, it’s characterized by bright-blue buildings and narrow alleys. The Andalusian influence mixes perfectly with Moroccan authenticity and the result is amazing. We reached Chefchaouen from Fez (you can read our experience in this city here). There are different options: the public bus, an excursion or a private transfer. We chose the public bus because the private transfer is economic if you find other people to go with otherwise it’s very expensive. That’s why we took the bus. It’s a long journey (approximately 4 hours) but you can see the landscape and different villages along the…

Palais Amani, Fez’s best kept secret and its activities

    February 9, 2020 / 2 Comments

Palais Amani is a luxury restored art deco riad enviably located in Fez. It’s the oldest tannery in the world and it’s an amazing experience to see people operating as they did in the Medieval times. It could be striking to see that hard physical labour but it’s an authentic experience! The smell can be intense sometimes but while entering in one…

Marrakech: the most exotic African city close to Europe

    February 11, 2018 / 48 Comments

Marrakech – Morocco city Marrakech is no doubt the most exotic and enchanting city close to Europe. Just landed, the thing that strikes you immediately is the airport. In fact, it’s considered one of the most beautiful airport in the World with its high windows that allow for plenty of natural light.  Once upon a time, this city was so important that it gave its name to Morocco. In fact, its thousand-year history is rich and its Berber origin can be seen in the metropolis of Atlas tribes. Marrakech was once the warehouse for goods (slaves, spices, salt, gold, ivory and even Morocco leather) brought by Saharan caravan from the…
